Welcome to my blog

I was born in Guernsey (but now live in Brittany) and our main industry was growing tomatoes although that industry has now virtually disappeared. Growing tomatoes to a Guernseyman is like wine to a Frenchman, it's in our blood! I do not profess to be an expert, but I have picked up a few tips and techniques which work for me.

About this Blog

Welcome to my tomato growing blog which I had kept up to date for a number of year so all aspects of the growing season are covered in my numerous posts and sections.

In the future I will  try to rearrange my blog to make it easier to navigate when looking for advice on all aspects of tomato growing. However as I have stated most aspects including training, pests and diseases, watering , feeding ventilation and many other topics are covered which you should easily find. I have also added hits and tips for other indoor crops like melons, cucumbers, aubergines, peppers chillies etc..

Some outdoor crops have also been mentioned, but I have tried to concentrate on tomato growing which I did commercial in a number of countries in my early working career.

I now live in France and I am an estate agent for a large Anglo/French Agency and you can see my properties for sale in Central Brittany HERE. I also managed to publish a novel on Amazon called Vantastic France which I am surprised to say is still selling after two year, I am slowly working on the sequel.

When time allows I would like to produce a small publication about tomato growing, so watch this space.

I do hope you find the information that you need on my blog, there is a question section at the top of the blog, or feel free to email me if you would like some advice.

May you all have a wonderful growing season  and a big thank you for taking time out to visit my blog.
